Operation: TREBUCHET was the UNSC counter attack to numerous civilian uprisings in the Outer Colonies known as the Insurrection. Spanning over ten years and encompassing two or more star systems, Operation: TREBUCHET involved numerous Marine and Army units along with many vessels from the UNSC Navy.

Overview

With a large uprising in the Eridanus system, The United Earth Government began its assault in 2513 and ended combat operations sometime in 2526, being the largest Conflict in nearly four hundred years.

Citizens largely perceived this battle as positive, that and widespread support lasted for Atleast three years, until 2516, when the UNSC lost large amounts of grounds to Insurrectionist armies. The UNSC's response was to send more troops to the planet, instead of negotiating like many politicians on Earth called for.

Unknown time: UNSC forces drop onto the planets surface.

March 12, 2513

Unknown time: UNSC forces reaches there first major hurdle, a jungle. UNSC sends a vanguard.

March 13, 2513

2200 hours: First Marine Regiment halfway through the jungle, rebel artilary bombardment begins.

2210 hours: Bombardment stops, radios rendered useless due to short-range EMP rounds. Insurrectionists attack and surround their position.
