Maria-L02 is a SPARTAN-II commando of the UNSC Naval Special Warfare Command. attached to Legacy Team during the Insurrection and Human-Covenant War. With nearly 30 years of active duty, she is one of the most decorated war veterans in the UNSC, and has earned every known medal in the UNSC including the Prisoner of War medallion.

Childhood and Spartan training[]
Born in about 2511, Maria lived with her mother and father on the colony world of Reach.
Early military career[]
Maria's first mission was on Insurrectionist station orbiting the colony of Arcadia. The mission objective was to sneak in to kill the rebel leader, and proceed to eliminate as many rebels as possible before extraction. The mission casualty list includes 37 rebel soldiers, and no civilians lost.

She is almost always seen with a DMR and has some kind of snper rifle rounds on her shoulder. It is speculated she is a sniper.
