Preceding events[]
For many years leading up to the conflict, the Britannia Liberation Party were rapidly growing support all across the world. After winning a bunch of elections in 2544, the leaders of the BLP had agreed that they would begin to put more funding into military spending and recruiting. With the United Nations Space Command being alert to the Liberation Partys movements, they sent two frigates to aid in the planets defence in the event of an uprising.
In 2545 the BLPs leader, Richard Mulcahy, had gathered all the leaders once again, this time to plan to assassinate the majority of the leaders of UNSC influenced nations and a rebellion that would soon follow. On 23 September 2546, the assassinations went as planned, most of the targets were killed and only a few remained, the remaining leaders declared war upon the other nations and threw the planet into a global wade insurrection.

Covenant Invasion[]

With the Covenant invasion of Britannia, the BLP were very quickly overwhelmed and the leader, Richard Mulcahy was killed within an hour of the initial planetary landing forces. Shortly after, the Liberation Party surrendered to the UNSC, leaving all remaining BLP assets under United Nations control and ending the Insurrection.
